Avocado & Bacon on Toast

Why not jazz up your avocado on toast with our smoky tempeh strips? Super easy, nutritious and of course, incredibly tasty - now that’s what we call a winning dish!

Recipe by Better Nature



  • 2 slices of sourdough bread

  • 1 ripe avocado 

  • 120g pack of Better™ Bacon

  • 1 small lime

  • 1 small red chilli

  • 20g of mixed leaves

  • Handful of dried chilli


  1. Heat the olive oil in a pan on high for 2 minutes

  2. Reduce the heat to medium, then add the Better™ Bacon strips to the pan

  3. Cook the Better™ Bacon on either side for 2 minutes until browned, then set aside

  4. Put the two slices of bread into the toaster, until browned

  5. Peel and finely slice the avocado

  6. Mash the avocado up with a fork, or keep it sliced (whatever you prefer!)

  7. Slice the lime into wedges 

  8. Slice the chilli into small pieces

  9. Slice the Better™ Bacon into strips 

  10. Spread the avocado onto the toast, then squeeze the lime’s juice onto it

  11. Place the Better™ Bacon pieces on top of the avocado

  12. Then scatter the fresh chilli, dried chilli and mixed leaves on top

  13. Serve and enjoy!
